I have the Valve Complete Pack on Steam and these games have evolved a lot with updates. It's not a bad thing at all and I still play mainly the Steam version of Half-Life 2, but I wanted an Old Engine version without all the problems brought by the BitRain sourcemod to just have that feel, mind you I wasn't even born then. So I found this, which is probably the earliest known version of Hlaf-Life 2, to really give that extra feel.
Played through the whole game in under 2 days with the stuttering, low-res textures, archaic facial animation, nodegraph issues and I didn't even care. Loved every second of this and even got a functional version of Half-Life Source, which I didn't think was possible. I have backed the ISO up just about anywhere I could find, because this is a valuable experience. Recommend this to everyone that wants to have the experience, even setting your resolution to x and refresh rate to 30Hz.
